The 2009 City Meet Champions are getting ready for another great swim season! The Swim Team Committee, chaired by Bob Mahoney, has been hard at work organizing plans for the 2010 swim season. To that end, all potential swimmers and their parents need to put Sunday, April 18th on their calendars. At 4:00 PM on that day at the Murraywood Clubhouse, we will have sign-up to register for the Swim Team. This day we will be taking registration for all Members, Summer Pool Pass holders, and returning Swim Team Only swimmers. If you want to register as a New Swim Team Only swimmer (i.e., you have not swam at Murraywood in the past two years), we will be taking registration during the first week of practice (May 10 – 13, 2010). However, we will only accept registrations for new Swim Team Only swimmers when the appropriate age & gender group has less than 16 swimmers.

This restriction does not apply to Members and Summer Pool Pass holders. On April 18 ^th, you will have the opportunity to meet the coaches, and ask any questions which you may have about the Swim Team. The Head Coach for the 2009 season, Mr. Louis Biles, is returning. Louis, along with his wife Sue Biles, lead the Sharks to an undefeated dual meet season, a first place finish in our Division and the 2009 City Meet Championship.

We welcome all swimmers from age 5 to 18 to come check out the Swim Team. It does not matter if you are a beginner with basic skills or an experienced swimmer. You will have the opportunity to improve your swimming skills, and enjoy a summer of fun in the pool.
